Dreyfus

A Heartwarming Comedy By: Jean-Claude Grumberg Directed by: Erez Shafrir Translated by: Eli Bijaoui

About the show

In a Jewish town in Poland between the two World Wars, an amateur theater troupe rehearses a play about the Dreyfus affair. As antisemitism casts a darkening shadow over their lives, they are busy arguing and fighting over every detail of the play: the color of the uniforms, how best to perform the lines, and whether an event like the Dreyfus affair could ever happen again.

A funny, poignant play about Jewishness, survival and the love of art.
