Wandering Stars

A new adaptation of the novel by Sholem Aleichem By: Richard Nelson Directed by: Yotam Gotal

About the show

Wandering Stars is a story about love, ambition, theater, and wandering.

The play tells the story of Leibl and Reizl, two young dreamers who flee their hometown to join the world of Yiddish theater. The plot shifts between Eastern Europe and America, reflecting both the romance and the hardships of Jewish life at the beginning of the 20th century.

Sholem Aleichem paints a vivid portrait of traveling performers torn between tradition and modernity, and asks: how can one find love in a volatile world full of contradictions?
