Whose Sukkah is Falling Down

A stage adaptation of the bestselling novel by Tzvi Ben Meir

About the show

Benjamin "Bini" Kimchi, the son of Rabbi Shlomo and a graduate of a Hesder yeshiva, marries the beautiful Esther to fulfill the social and religious expectations. The couple builds a family and raises two children, but life in the shadow of a great secret creates an invisible barrier between them, and reality forces them to confront the truth.

The play reveals the tension between an authentic personal identity and the demands of society, and the courage required to live honestly even at the cost of losing the community’s protective haven.
