Early Summer 1970

A Story Meets a Stage Adaptation and Direction: Mor Frank

About the show

Early in the summer of 1970, a high school principal pursues a bible teacher who is refusing to retire, asking to deliver some news. What does he intend to say? Is the teacher about to be fired? Or might the news have something to do with his only son, sent off to war? And why is all this destined to repeat itself?

An intimate encounter that bravely explores delicate human themes – old age, love and bereavement.

A one-man play based on a novella by A.B. Yehoshua, adapted and directed by Mor Frank, starring Yehoyachin Friedlander, one of the leading actors in the Jerusalem Khan Theatre's ensemble.
