A mother joins a cult. A father picks up the pieces. Over twenty years, Jacob and his daughter Sarah navigate abandonment, identity, and what it means to be a Jewish family in America. Jacob's Stepladder is a warm, funny, and deeply human comedy-drama you won't easily forget.
