Synopsis

A city under siege. Destruction and dust are everywhere. The landscape is barren and the soldiers are shooting at cats that pass by.
Carmen has disappeared at the checkpost.
Her daughter Imen is dealing with Ian, the soldier who is searching her house.
Alia, the midwife, is nursing Imen's cat Jesus, while her husband Yad is trying to escape to the fumes of the nargilah, to the taste of the pistachios and to the intoxicating taste of the arak.
The bombings, the destruction and the tire burnings are incessant.

And then, one day, Amin, Alia and Yad's son, goes from being a student to being a "hero" who kills in the name of God.
