Special attention is given to schoolchildren. School theatre days, plays accompanied by guided instruction, lectures, workshops and meeting with writers and actors are an important part of the theatre's activities, which are meant to attract a young audience to the theatre world. In addition, the Khan holds workshops for young theatre lovers, an experiential theatre workshop which brings Jewish and Arab students and Jerusalem residents together to engage in individual and group work, focusing on the Jewish-Palestinian conflict, and it also conducts enrichment programs open to the public, including lectures, workshops, poetry readings, seminars, panel discussions and meetings with playwrights and actors. Through these activities, the Khan enables the public and the community to establish closer ties to the theatre world and better understand the contents of the plays.
